PhD Thesis Research Domain A
start possible from April 2025

The research project aims to enhance the understanding of how microstructural configurations influence the formability of aluminum alloys. The focus is on investigating the complex interactions between precipitates and external deformation, as well as the targeted control of these microstructural elements to systematically improve the ductility and processability of aluminum alloys with a high proportion of secondary material, ensuring their application as high-performance materials.
In collaboration with a manufacturer specializing in premium aluminum products and sustainable processes, the project addresses the increased integration of secondary aluminum, particularly in performance-driven applications.
