The 4th International Polymer Process Innovation Conference (PPI) took place from September 18 to 20 in Ghent, Belgium. More than 70 international experts gathered in the historic city to present current developments and projects in the field of polymers and recycling. A special highlight was David Zidar's receipt of the Young Scientist Award for his Lecture about the WINTRUST project: "Recycling the unrecyclable: Analyses of recycling opportunities in the winter sport industry".
In the coming months, Zidar will also be attending other important conferences, including RecyDepoTech (November 13-15, 2024 in Leoben) to analyze and optimize Austrian polystyrene waste for recycling in yoghurt packaging, and at the 32nd Leoben-Conference on Polymer Engineering and Science - 21-22 November 2024 in Leoben - on the recycling of winter sports hardgoods. At the Ski Industry Climate Summit, he will also present WINTRUST, a project on resource efficiency and the circular economy in the winter sports sector. All conferences promise exciting insights and innovations for a more sustainable future.
