Mauricio Azevedo de Freitas passed the defense of his dissertation on “Material Data Determination of Liquid Silicone Rubber: Characterization Methods for a Reliable Injection Molding Simulation” with flying colors today.

The work is dedicated to the challenge of precisely determining the material properties of liquid silicone rubber in order to enable realistic and reliable simulations for the injection molding process. With innovative characterization methods, the dissertation offers an important contribution to the optimization of industrial manufacturing processes.
