The EURECA-PRO University Consortium brought together more than 100 people from nine European Universities: Technical University of Crete (Greece), Montanuniversität Leoben (Austria), Technische Universität
Bergakademie Freiberg (Germany), Silesian University of Technology (Poland), Universidad de León (Spain), University of Petroșani (Romania), University of Applied Sciences Mittweida (Germany), Hasselt University

The official opening ceremony took place on Tuesday, 9th May and was attended by members of the EURECA-PRO consortium, the University of Petroșani rectorate, university staff and students as well as local government authorities.
In the course of the week, several meetings were held by different working groups and task forces to discuss current topics and to give an outlook on the new developments in EURECA-PRO 2.0. Furthermore, the programme offered some interesting workshops on Brain Drain and European Working Culture, which were a great opportunity for the EURECA-PRO team to connect and develop.
Another important outcome of the week was the signing of the agreement for the first International Joint Master's Degree in Responsible Consumption and Production launched by EURECA-PRO, starting in the academic year 2023/2024.
The week was rounded off by cultural activities such as a visit to Parâng Mountains and Bolii cave together with other traditional events, which offered a valuable insight into Romanian society and culture.
