Golden VÖK Badge of Honor for Clemens Holzer

A glamorous evening for Polymer Engineering and Science Leoben: During the lecture evening of the VÖK - Vereinigung Österreichischer Kunststoffverarbeiter, Professor Clemens Holzer, Head of the Institute of Polymer Processing and Head of the Department of Polymer Engineering and Science, was honored with the Golden VÖK Badge of Honor.

This prestigious award recognizes Professor Holzer's outstanding achievements in research, teaching and industry. As an expert in his field, he has been shaping polymer processing for years – through technical innovations, interdisciplinary projects and his commitment to a sustainable design of the industry. Holzer has held the institute at the Department of Polymer Engineering and Science since 2008, his vision from the very beginning: to use polymers efficiently, in a resource-saving and environmentally friendly way. Professor Walter Friesenbichler gave a comprehensive presentation of Professor Holzer's achievements in a detailed laudatory speech.

The festive presentation of the honorary pin took place during an inspiring evening, which was marked by exciting technical lectures and lively discussions between science and industry. With this award, Professor Holzer joins the ranks of the most important personalities in the plastics industry.

The Golden VÖK Pin of Honor is one of the highest honors awarded by the VÖK – Vereinigung Österreichischer Kunststoffverarbeiter.
