In 2014, the Austrian Research Promotion Agency issued an invitation to tender for “Production of Future”, a generative manufacturing project with 4 million Euro funding.
National Research- Cluster
“addmanu.at” aims at becoming a national research-cluster for the entire value-added chain and for vital processes of generative manufacturing. The competences necessary for representing high-tech products will be developed and generative manufacturing methods using 3D Data will be used to produce components. These methods are particularly useful when minor quantities are produced.
Partners
All Austrian research institutions which focus on additive fabrication are partners of the project. Besides Montanuniversität, contributing Institutions are: Technical University Vienna, FOTEC Niederösterreich, Joanneum Research and Profactor. 14 Companies are also involved in the project, amongst them are Airbus DS, Böhler Edelstahl GmbH, Mahle Austria Filtersystems GmbH, GE Jenbacher GmbH, Happy Plating GmbH, Haratech Manfred Haiberger, Hage Sondermaschinenbau GmbH, LAM Research AG, Lithoz GmbH, Magna Steyr Engineering AG, PKT Präzisionskunststofftechnik, Bürtlmair GmbH, RHI AG, RHP-Technology GmbH and TIGER Coatings GmbH.
The following departments and chairs are involved in the project:
